Debra's Pledge Page, helping 1 animal at a time!
To help save the lives of many animals by raising money for PAWS Chicago, a no-kill organization striving to eliminate the pet overpopulation problem.
PAWS works with local animal control and other rescue organizations to help find homes for abandoned, abused and surrendered animals. It’s a non-profit organization that receives no state or local funding. It relies completely on donations. I started volunteering for this organization last year by helping walk, feed and play with the dogs in the center. Its heart breaking to see some of the animals stay in the adoption center for a very long time, but at least I know they will not be euthanized like the 3-4 million cats and dogs that the Humane Society of the US estimates are killed every year in shelters. Help fund an organization that works to find homes for these animals, not put them down. Check out the page, I will be updating the diary every so often and including any news on the donation front. Please give if you have the means, the donate link is on the left. ** I'd love to be able to keep track of the donations and update the site as we make progress on the goal to raise $1000 in a month, so PLEASE sign the quest book and update me if you make a contribution! Even $5 can make a big difference! ** Email me with any questions! Thanks for your time! |
